A family-run business since 1987, you’ll be greeted with smiles & pizza that reminds me of my days in New York They even have the same brand of ovens you find in Brooklyn. The pizza is perfect every time I have visited - delicious! I have also tried other dishes of salads & the yummy eggplant parmigiana. So good! I notice as well that employees stay working at Sal’s Pizza as there’s a great pizza maker I always see and consistent helpful and friendly wait staff - testimony that this must be a good place to work where employees are treated well. I like what seems to be family photos that are cut and pasted to the wall. You can also make reservations and host parties here. Go! ”

Sals has the best pizza and subs in the Charlottesville area, it truly is a hidden gem. I love they have kept the ownership in the family so you always know the recipes are still the same and you always have the same hometown feel. Very nostalgic !
